2. A Sorely Trying Day by Russell Hoban
3. Wings for Per by Edgar and Ingrid Parin D'Aulaire
4. Least of All by Carol Purdy
5. The Little House by Virginia Lee Burton
The books above, in my opinion, are the epitome of nearly PERFECT children's picture books. I am a bit of a snob when it comes to adding to this list, but I will be working on it! The books on this list meet a very strict criteria -- the stories must be flawless. I have included some rare finds that most families will not already be familiar with.
